PROPELLER SHAFT BEARING SYSTEM

Thordon RiverTough propeller shaft bearings operating in combination with hard coated nickel-chrome-boron sleeves are specially formulated to provide superior wear life in very abrasive water conditions and have proven their ability to last at least twice as long as rubber bearings.
COMPAQ
Thordon COMPAC is a high performance water lubricated bearing system primarily for “blue water” operating conditions. Specially formulated with a low coefficient of friction to reduce startup friction and eliminate stick-slip.
SXL
Thordon SXL offers a lower coefficient of friction for reduced break-away torque and smoother operation at lower shaft RPM, increased resistance to third particle abrasive wear and improved wear life
Seals
SEA THIGOR
The Thordon SeaThigor Seal is a mechanical face seal for 300mm (11.8″) to 750mm (29.5″) water lubricated propeller shafts found in yachts, cruise ships, merchant ships and naval vessels.
The seal is designed with an enclosed housing having the rotor module inside the seal, so no moving parts are exposed to the exterior. This design arrangement also places the pressurized water on the outside of the sealing rings, using the water pressure to keep the faces closed.
TG 100
The Thordon TG100 is a new mechanical seal designed specifically for 86mm (3.375″) to 305mm (12″) shaft vessels operating in either clean or abrasive-laden waters including workboats, harbor tugs, offshore supply vessels, yachts, ferries, fishing trawlers and self-propelled dredgers.
Deck Bushings

Thordon deck equipment bushings are an ideal replacement for bronze and other non-metallic bearings in deck equipment applications. ThorPlas-Blue is available in a range of sizes and is easily machined to the dimensions required for fairleads, capstans, davits, gantries, pivot bushings, cranes, chain hoists, door and ramp hinge bearings and steering gear ram and linkage pins.
