Dredge Construction

After a design and planification process begun a cutting process and material preparation, starting hull construction including welding and assembly, installation of systems and equipment, external details, SAT and HAT testing, delivery and ready to work

Sandblasting Pusher tug  Don Anibal

In the sandblasting procedures, it is applied several treatment levels to surface to eliminate impurities or pollution. Those treatment levels depend both for quantity and quality of the work and for associated costs with cleaning, which increases proportionally with higher preparation degree. Between them we have:

  • Blasting to White Metal – SSPC – SP5, SA-3
  • Blasting to Neat White Metal SSPC-SP10, SA-2.5
  • Commercial blasting – SSPC-SP6, SA-2
  • Brush off – SSPC-SP7, SA-1

Painting scheme to  H-07 Barge

 

Aiming to ensure the durability of structure and avoid the corrosion exposure or incrustations, the painting is used to give the final touch to the Dead Works, giving the barge a better general aspect.

Generally, is applied an anticorrosive paint and a detail paint. The quantity of layers is determined by the environment to which it will submit, and it is detailed in the scheme.

  1. Primer or anticorrosive.
  2. Intermediate.
  3. Antifouling.
  4. Detail.

Steel plate change – barge  JAR9

Maintenance service done with steel plate changes, it consists on remotion of steel plates indicated by the customer or by respective classification society. Structures are inspected and then conformation of the new Steel plates. Finally, it is done a welding re-aplication and a liquid penetrant test.
