ARC CARIBE

For the first time in Colombia, the work of assembling and installing a flight deck was carried out. This was done on the National Navy vessel ARC CARIBE, which is an OSV (Off Shore Supply Vessel) type vessel, serving as a multipurpose oceanographic vessel for the navy.

The flight deck of the ARC “Caribe” will strengthen support operations for evacuations, firefighting, personnel transport, emergency response, among others; thus increasing the capabilities of the Dirección General Marítima (Dimar) in favor of comprehensive maritime safety and marine scientific research.

CATAMARAN DE TURISMO 17-06

The project was born from the Medellín-based company MAVI, which studied and explored nautical tourism in Cartagena, and carried out the development of the design idea for enjoying the Bay of Cartagena, Rosario Islands, and other tourist spots.

The project consisted of receiving plans and general characteristics of the vessel to be validated by our Naval Engineering team and obtaining detailed plans for the respective construction in our Shipyard. Additionally, Dmars provided support, advice, and participation in the design of new pieces, systems, and parts of the vessel not contemplated in the original design.

The catamaran has two rooms with all amenities, common areas, jacuzzi, kitchen, and bathrooms.

DRAGA RIO ESMERALDA

In 2013, Dmars SAS designed and built the RIO ESMERALDA Motor Vessel for the Urra Hydroelectric Plant with excellent results. This vessel is unique in its type as it was manufactured to dredge and collect wood logs that obstruct the suction grid of the Francis-type turbines at the Urra hydroelectric plant at a depth of 40 meters. The vessel is dismountable and transportable in modules through land, aboard tractor-trailers.

MN QUANTUM

Supply and Change of shaft line bearings, the supplied bearings were Thordon SXL, encapsulated in a carbon steel sleeve, as these would be fixed to the inside of the bushing carriers after alignment, their fixation was done through the application of an epoxy resin, which generates high temperatures during its chemical curing process.

The vessel’s original bearings were rubber bronze, but the operation time was very short, so the client decided to change to Thordon SXL bearings due to all the advantages these bearings offer for operation.
